Support Reaches Khawpuichhip Village 🕊️コープイチップ村に支援金届く

Following the devastating air raid on Khawpuichhip Village on May 1st, which destroyed 26 out of 30 homes and tragically claimed seven innocent lives, Heartship Myanmar Japan (HMJ) made the immediate decision to send ¥100,000 in emergency relief funds to provide urgent aid to the surviving families hiding in the forests.

5月1日、コープイチップ村への理不尽な空爆により、村全体にある30軒の家のうち26軒が破壊され、子供6名を含む7名の命が一瞬にして奪われました。緊急支援の呼びかけに応じハートシップ・ミャンマー・ジャパン（HMJ）からは10万円を送金しました。

Financial Transparency

As a grassroots organization, transparency is our utmost priority. We transferred the ¥100,000, which converted to 2,525,000 MMK, directly to our trusted local partner on the ground, the Hualngoram People’s Organization (HPO).

送金の記録

草の根市民団体として、HMJでは支援の透明性を心がけています。寄付金として支援者の皆様からいただいている10万円は、現地通貨2,525,000 MMKに両替され、現地の信頼できるパートナーであるHPO（Hualngoram People’s Organization）に送金されました。

17 groups and individuals stepped forward to answer the call to HPO’s urgent global appeal for donations, raising a total of 35,233,000 MMK.(approx. US$9,000)

HPOからの緊急募金への呼びかけに対しHMJを含む17の団体や個人が応じ、総額35,233,000 MMK（約140万円）の支援金が集まったとのことです。

Immediately after the disaster occurred, the HPO Relief Team rushed to the village to conduct critical first-response operations, including rescuing injured victims, helping clear the rubble, and supporting the community with funeral arrangements.

空爆直後、HPOチームはすぐに村へ駆けつけ、負傷者の救助、瓦礫の撤去・清掃、そして遺族に寄り添いながら葬儀の手配を手伝うなど、緊急対応にあたりました。

HPO’s Decision: Direct Cash Distribution to Affected Families

The HPO Relief Committee determined that the most effective and empowering way to help the victims was to distribute all the cash donations directly into the hands of the affected families.

The relief fund was equally divided among the 26 households whose homes were destroyed. Each designated family received cash to help purchase immediate essentials like food, clothing, and shelter materials as they navigate this grueling rainy season.
