多民族国家ミャンマーに寄り添う活動
ハートシップ・ミャンマー・ジャパンは、2021年2月にミャンマーで起きたクーデターをきっかけに、その年の秋に発足した団体です。日本在住のミャンマー人、アメリカ人、日本人の3人が運営し、日本で寄付を募り、現地の子どもたちへの教育支援を続けています。
Supporting Myanmar, a multi-ethnic country
Heartship Myanmar Japan was founded in the autumn of 2021, following the coup that took place in Myanmar in February of that year. It is operated by three members—a Myanmar national, an American, and a Japanese—living in Japan. The organization raises donations in Japan and continues to provide educational support for children in Myanmar.
多民族国家であるミャンマーは、文化も言語も異なる人々が暮らし、いまも国が正常に機能せず、学校や病院の運営が滞り、人々の生活が大きく制限されています。歴史的に紛争やクーデターを繰り返してきました。

In the midst of these challenges, Heartship Myanmar Japan provides school supplies and supports the running of schools. Tina makes use of her profession as an interpreter and translator to share updates about the organization’s activities and local conditions in both English and Japanese.
