The sound of the explosions was so powerful that it was clearly heard in the neighboring Satawm village, where one of the schools supported by HMJ is located. Immediately after the bombing, we received anxious and frightened messages from the villagers in Satawm, who were left trembling in the darkness.

A military jet dropped two 500-pound bombs simultaneously, directly hitting the village hospital building. The strong concrete structure was completely leveled to the ground. While there were no casualties because the hospital had been closed since the 2021 coup, HPO had been planning to reopen it in the near future to serve the local health needs.

200 Soldiers Marching Toward Chin State
Furthermore, we have just received breaking news that about 200 junta soldiers are currently marching from Kalay toward Chin State. It has been more than 80 days since the heavy battles began, and with the approach of these ground troops, the situation is becoming even more critical. We can only hope and pray that the children and their families will be kept safe amidst this escalating danger.
