Introducing the 4th family of the Dalah House Project.

Thet Thet Naing and family were forced to move after the junta destroyed their house, and now live temporarily on other people’s land. Unfortunately, the house and the roof are not safe when it rains and so they have to sit the whole night under an umbrella when it rains. 

国軍に家を破壊され住む場所を失ったThet Thet Naingさん一家、現在は他人の土地で仮住まいをしています。残念ながら家も屋根も安全ではなく、雨が降ると一晩中傘をさして座っていなければならないそうです。

”We just can’t afford to build a house.”

Husband: One pole of bamboo costs about 800-900 kyats. The price of oil goes up too.

My work was part time and I could only work when called.  I earned 2000 kyats per day but I had to spend 1000 kyats for transportation.  So, we couldn’t save any money. We spent all our earnings on food.  Now, there is no work at all. We are too poor.

「家を建てる余裕なんかありません。」

夫「 竹の棒1本が800〜900チャットくらいします。石油の値段も上がるし。

仕事は呼ばれたときだけ働けて1日2000チャットの収入でしたが、交通費に1000チャットかかるのでお金は貯められない。稼いだお金はすべて食費に使います。 今は、仕事が全然ありません。貧しすぎる。

Wife: Since my husband lost his job, I wash clothes to make a living.  I have only one family who asks me to wash their clothes.  Depending on the day, I earn 1,500 kyats to 3,000 kyats (apprx. 1 USD). I miscarried a child a while ago. Everyone in my family have their own problems so no one can help us.  

妻「夫の仕事がなくなってから、私が洗濯の仕事をしていますが、洗濯を頼んでくれるのは1世帯だけです。 収入は日によっては1,500チャットから3,000チャット（約140円）くらいです。少し前に子供を流産してしまいました。他の家族はみんなそれぞれ大変だし、助けてくれる人は誰もいません。
