Heartship Myanmar Japan is funding education in Chin state, Myanmar, where many schools remain closed after the military coup.
In addition to the Teacher’s Training course in September 2023, a new training course for Preschool teachers was conducted in June 2024.
Preschool is for children between the ages of three and four. Children who attend preschool at this age are more eager to learn when they enter Primary school at age five.

2023年9月の教師養成プログラムに続いて、2024年6月に保育研修が実施されました。
保育の対象年齢は３〜４歳。この年齢から学校に通い慣れている児童の方が５歳で小学校がスタートする際に学ぶ意欲が高いとのことです。

50 Participants from 24 villages
50 participants ranging from 18 to 56 years old gathered to take part in this 12-day course from Jun 3 to 14, 2024, to learn about the following:
- Preschool education theory
- children’s rights
- how to conduct sports, games, and art (i.e., drawing, singing, dancing).
- leadership
- environmental knowledge (planting)

18歳から56歳までの合計50人が、2024年6月3日から14日にかけて実際された12日間のプログラムに参加し、以下について学びました。

Preschool Education begins in 8 villages
After the training, preschools opened in 8 villages in Hualngoram, and 15 members who participated in this training course now work as preschool teachers.
Because there are not enough classrooms, some villages conduct preschool in the same room as primary/elementary school.
８つの村で保育園開所
研修後、Hualngoram地域の8つの村で保育園が開所し、研修に参加した15人が保育士として活動中。教室が足りないため、小学校と同じ教室で保育をしている村もあります。
Friendly soccer match on the last day
On the final day, the local soccer team Hualngoram Arsi was invited to play against the HPO Education team.
Soccer is the most popular sport in Myanmar, and the team was happy to come and play to show their support to the education department and to build teamwork and friendship.

研修最終日には、地元のサッカーチームHualngoram Arsiが招待され、HPO教育チームと対戦試合が行われました。
サッカーはミャンマーで最も人気のあるスポーツであり、教育部門への支援を示すため、またチームワークと友情を築くために、チームArsiは招待を快諾してくれたそうです。
